Hello! My name is KatieLee Swanson, and yes it is a double name. Ever since I can remember, I have been in love with all things beauty. It let me escape into my own world. I felt protected, comforted and encouraged to play and experiment across all categories, from cosmetics to fragrance to skin and body care. As someone who grew up as a military brat, beauty and personal care allowed me to form community and safety.

I find I am most drawn to brand identity development and strategy, PR and event management, product and packaging development as well as consumer insight analysis . I love being able to bring ideas to life across different touch points and really dive in and understand community to know how people feel and think. I believe connecting on a face to face level with consumers is crucial to being successful in the beauty industry, to be able to build community from the ground up.

I want to further break down the “invisible curtain” between brands and consumers. I want to create and build a physical community where we support each other culturally, mentally, and emotionally. The beauty industry is the most personal and intimate industry to ever exist, it touches everyone no matter our gender, race, age, ethnicity - we can all connect, learn and heal through cosmetics and personal care.
